Traditionally, knowledge about hydropo … LES MER wer planning and development has been transferred to younger professionals through their close and continuous working relationships with older colleagues. Not all of this knowledge has been properly documented, and there are few recent books covering all the themes. We have set out to change that, and the result is this series of seventeen up-to-date volumes on hydropower development. Although hydropower technology is a global one, the series reflects Norwegian experience. This is due to Norway's special topography, geology and climate. Setting out Norwegian hydropower experience will be of great value to engineers engaged in the planning, construction and operation of hydropower plants all over the world. LES MINDRE
